Things to do: week 3

  • This is the week when you should begin thinking about your own take or mindset on digital culture and education. I'm using the term culture broadly to point to the patterns of practices, the assumptions about the world and the way in which education, in particular, is positioned within "the digital".
  • Look at the notes for this week's readings as you read each of the papers.
  • Check to see what you have not been able to get done in week 2. If you are having any problems/trouble contact Chris.
  • The urgent thing is to let him know what days/times (assuming these are evening times) you are not available for a video hook up. If you are in a different time zone to Brisbane can you let Chris know that also. We will have a hangout this week on Wednesday. It's hard to plan this without your input! :).
  • You should have begun to write in your notebook about the focus or topic that you imagine, at this stage, you'd like to concentrate on in this course. The main thing is to choose something that is narrow, small and remember you are not doing a PhD or a ten year study but a one trimester course! Write on the G+ community site about your thinking or email Chris if you feel uncomfortable writing about it in public just yet. This wiki is the other place to flag your particular interests.
